In 2020, I had the opportunity to participate in an event organized by  RERescue.  My role was to groom dogs that were rescued from China by Animal Hope and Wellness Foundation. These animals were saved from being slaughtered from the meat trade. 

 

Seeing how severely traumatized the dogs were, was extremely emotional for me.  One Chihuahua mix in particular had her head buried in my chest after her groom and clung on to me, refusing to let go.  Even though I felt her fear, it warmed me to the core to know that in that moment, I made a difference in this little one’s life.
